    How to monitor and alert on Disk % in Server 2008

    Hi -

    We had a SQL Server crash today because the C:\ filled up.  It's a 2008 server, and we're not able to create an active monitor that can accurately report disk space utilization in this OS. We do have performance montiors for disk utilization, which report accurate usage.

    Has anyone developed an active script to montior & alert on this for Server 2008? Thanks!

      I use SNMP on our W2K8 servers and monitor the drives with Alert Center (+email notification).

      Mark,

      If you have a performance monitor athat is already reporting correctly, then use the Alert Center introduced in v14 to alert based on a specific threshold.
