Whats UP knows at themoment 2 States, UP and Down.
I would like to see something like Malfunction of the Monitor. For example a RPC Time Out or Authentication failure.
It would also be nice to have Threshold on Performance Counters which does not result in a Device Down Alert. I often Experience this Problem on my Exchange Active Monitor, which forces me to put the threshold in to extreme high values.
Less Device Down States which force me into action

It would be nice to set critical monitors to Up and down while set others as a Warning. This woudl allow for an alert if a service goes down on a server but the server and application is still operational partially and not resultinging in end user down time.
I can't write enough about this. IPSwitch, please remember it isn't necessarily Engineers looking at the alerts, it is Engineers that are configuring and fine tuning the NMS. We are sending alerts to non-technical people in a lot of cases or limited technical ability.
How misinforming to see DOWN in every alert just because a threshold has been met! Down only means one thing unless we try to retrain everyone receiving the alert that this english verbiage doesn't really mean what it says.
It would be much easier to simply allow us to configure different states and not be dependent upon the time set in the state. We definitely need to be able to define Warning, Issue, Threshhold Exceeded, etc.
Please, please, please!
